Just bought a used air conditioner 18000BTU and found out that the power is 220 volts.?

Bought a used air conditioner and found out that it is 220volt. Can someone tell me what kind of convertion i need to do in order to use this air conditioner in my house. Thank a bunch…

Vic

There is not a converter for this. If there was it would overload the 110 volt circuit anyway. You need to have a dedicated 220 volt outlet for the air conditioner. If you have a spare cooking range, or a clothes dryer outlet, you could use it for the air conditioner.

If you don’t have a spare outlet, you can have an electrician add one and put some new circuit breakers in the electrical box to protect it.

Attracting wild birds

No need to buy Hummingbird Nectar powder mixture rewarding hobby shop. Instead, go to This simple recipe for hummingbird nectar. You need only water and white sugar – super simple and easy to do.

Use the proportion following:

1 part regular white sugar to 4 parts water.

Example: 1 cup sugar, 4 cups water

1. Boil water.

2. Add sugar and stir until dissolved.

3. Cool.

4. Refrigerate in a designated pitcher hummingbird feeder.

Using a microwave oven works well. Put water in a microwave container and heat to boiling. Carefully remove and add the sugar. Stir until sugar dissolves. I filled my feeders clean and keep it cool and leave the rest to cool slightly before storing in the refrigerator.

Nothing Extra: No need to add something more to the mix, ie coloring, honey, etc. is not necessary and could be harmful. Honey quickly close become toxic to birds.

Hummingbird nectar Storage: I store all varieties of my wild bird (Orioles, Hummingbirds, butterflies, etc) "juice" up to two weeks in the refrigerator, but it often takes more often than that.

Tip: Use Rubbermaid container or a clean milk carton, clearly, to store my hummingbird juice in the refrigerator. Another idea I recently read is to freeze the additional. Can I test this by putting in a freezer bag and freeze flat. Once frozen, it breaks easily placed in the charger.

Dispose: If the juice in the feeder (s) becomes cloudy or muddy, empty, clean and refill.

Clean: Make sure bird feeders are cleaned every day to a week to avoid icki. The cleaning with a solution of vinegar and hot water.

Location and Food: More than a feeder, placed strategically around the court, will encourage more hummingbirds to visit both. They are territorial birds, feeding place so far from the line approach in the other.

Note: However, there were more than a porter at a time without ill-will directed to another. experience a little.

Enjoy your visitors!

To Clean or Pollute?

We kept cleaning everyday; wash our body, do our laundry, wash the dishes, mop and scrub the floor, wash our car and etc. What we care about is which detergent on the supermarket shelves can give us the ‘cleanest’ and whitest’ effect. Most of us never give any thoughts to the cleaning agents that flow out of our home together with the dirt, whether it could cause any harm to any living things or pollute our environment.

You may ask how deep can a synthetic detergent hurt our Mother Nature. The answer is Ocean Deep.

The celebration of Earth Day inspires awareness of and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. Before you start cleaning again, why not consider these organic and earth friendly cleaning DIY tips. Organic Kitchen

1. Clean and deodorise your fridge

Add the mixture of 125 ml of organic lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of baking soda and 500ml hot water. Dip a sponge in the solution and thoroughly clean the interior of the refrigerator. Finish by wiping with a clean damp cloth. To deodorise and clear bacteria, place a few bamboo charcoal in your fridge.

2. Clean the chopping board

Your chopping board could be a source of food poisoning. What you thought was just a flu could have been from the bits of leftover food that was left out too long on your chopping board. refrigerator leaking from bottom

refrigerator leaking from bottom
Fridge leaking … HELP!?

We rent and do not want to call my home for now. Our refrigerator is leaking water. Is the freezer on top and fridge on the bottom. Beside the refrigerator, which has about a half inch of water every two days. It hurts the flight on the ground and make a huge mess. The freezer is not never seen ice thawed there. How can we stop this?

These "auto-defrost" freezer refrigerators automatic defrost and drain water down in the refrigerator and then usually in a pan in the refrigerator. It evaporates from the air in your kitchen. It appears that is clogged the drain in the refrigerator in the pan. Remove the drawers in the bottom of the fridge and see if you can find that the water is supposed to leak. Then clean. If too wet, it is possible that the water evaporates, not fast enough, and the overflow of the pan. In this case, you must get a wet vacuum cleaner / dry vacuum. Or you can use a sponge, but it would take a long time.
