Cotton Canvas is produced on a loom and is 2-m wide which means that these will have to be stitched together. These “seams” or “Joins” are best fitted over the “Bow” of the Caravan – not from front to back. This is so that any water will simply “Roll Off” If the joints run from front to back there is a danger of water gathering in the joints – which may seep through !!
These covers are supplied from the manufacturer 100% Waterproof – but it is essential to keep them re-treated at least once per year with a wax based sealant, paying particular attention to the joints.
Now – another thing to bear in mind is Shrinkage. 100% Cotton Tarpaulins will shrink when it is wet by as much as 10% – so this must be taken into consideration.
When fitting a new cover it is important NOT to fix it under the side boards permanently until it has had a few “Wets” and dried out.
English gypsy caravan has been in existence since around the 1850’s. They were, and still are in a few cases, the home of gypsy families and usually referred to as wagons or vardo’s. Many of these wagons were “home” built, but for a period of time from around 1880 several dedicated wagon makers evolved.
The average size of a bow-top caravan is about 10ft long, 6ft wide and 9′ 6″ from the ground to the top of the bow. Wagons vary in basic design. The Bow-top is just as it says. A wagon with a wood and canvas barrel-shaped roof. The Readings have solid sides rising up to a solid roof usually with a ridge or sky-lights in. Within these two categories other variations arise. “No two wagons are the same”!
Inside a gypsy wagon a stove is often to be found on the left hand side as one enters. At the back at chest height is the bed which lies across the wagon. This pulls out on runners to sleep two adults (or four children!) There is voluminous cupboard space under the bed or more sleeping room. Dotted around are various draws and or cupboards between sitting space on the ledges. See right for a typical interior layout of a good bowtop wagon.
There is usually a window at the rear of the wagon. Some had stable-type doors and “open-lots” have two a canvas sheets across the door space which laced down the middle. Wheels can be wooden with a steel band or the early metal spoked type.
Our neighbor wants to give us your Conure … advice?
We were sitting birds and seems to have fallen in love with my husband and I think also feel the same way. tricks on us: We have a two year old cat (who difinately keep them separate), but the cat is out of around 16 hours a day, never had a bird in her field: she was raised by a man who just died in a motorcycle accident and while in the hospital for 6 months, lived with my nieghbor of the mother. I would say that the bird gives a home. Green cheeks are very quiet as the birds go. If the bird as her husband is halfway home. I read about owning a bird. This is not really so hard to keep a bird happy and heathly. There is a nice website called Winged Wisdom pretty decent with the right information. Bascially for green energy works are a mix of good cockatoo, fresh vegetables, frozen vegetables are also very good. I like my birds eat meat bites cooked as roast beef or steak. Day 17 – Cure for the Sneeze

That Annoying Canary Allergy
Melissa was very excited because that Tuesday afternoon she was going to the zoo. She is very fond of animals, especially birds.
She doesn’t tire looking, talking and playing around her favorite bird in that zoo—the canary. Canary is a small finch or kind of tiny bird that is a native to the Canary Islands.
Canary birds have a yellow to greenish color and has long been bred by people and bird collectors around the globe as cage birds.
Back to Melissa, happiness with Canary birds must not be a thing for her because after an hour, a strong discomfort was beginning to ruin her mood. She started coughing and itching until she could no longer take it.
Later, the physician who attended to her concluded that she has, yes, you have guessed it right, Canary allergy.
What is Canary allergy?
Canary allergy is no different from your usual bird allergy. It is brought about by the retaliation or defensive reaction of your body’s immune system to allergens from birds or Canaries that gets through the system through feather dust or dander and through droppings or fecal matter.
Because Canary birds are cage birds that could not freely fly, expect that its feathers are very much loaded with these irritating dusts that may cause allergic reactions.
Exposure to Canary birds’ dusts and allergens will bring about bird allergy symptoms within minutes, hours, or at very rare occasions days, which make diagnosing harder unless the patient volunteers the information.
Symptoms of Canary allergy
Like bird allergy, Canary allergy is also characterized by simple allergic reactions or symptoms including postnasal drip, stuffy nose, hives, coughing, itchy eyes, sneezing, watery or teary eyes and sore throat.
Canary bird allergies may not be that fatal but the onset of its symptoms will surely cause a great discomfort to the patient. Failure to address or address severe attacks or symptoms can also lead to serious complications which can be fatal or deadly if untreated or unattended.
In very sensitive individuals, Canary allergy is also accompanied by fever and chills.
Treatment for Canary Allergy
Canary allergy is a chronic attack that can cease by its own even if you do not take in any medication. Most often, the simple treatment recommended to people exhibiting canary allergy symptoms is to make that person get farther or away from Canary birds around.
It is a practical treatment because constant and continuous exposure to the bird that causes the allergy will surely keep the onset of the allergic reaction.
Doctors also prescribe little doses of antihistamines (drugs that treat simple allergies), decongestants (drugs that unblocks breathing areas or treat swollen nasal areas) and corticosteroids ( anti-inflammatory drugs).
Avoiding Canary allergy
Hygiene of course, is the most basic and effective measure to counter potential Canary allergy attacks. Always wash your hands even if you are not eating. Clean the surroundings and make sure there are no Canary bird feathers or droppings around especially if you have those birds at home.
If you are allergic to Canary birds, just like if you have allergies to other substances, be sure to always keep your room well-ventilated by opening windows or turning on air conditioners to an optimal temperature.
If you have Canary birds at home and there is no way you will be disposing them, there are measures that could help you avoid the onset of Canary allergy. First, make sure the Canaries’ cage is clean and tidy.
Do not overcrowd the cage because that will cause the Canaries to fight and play around often, spreading their feathers around.
Make sure that area in the house where the Canary birds’ cage is placed is properly ventilated. Buy an air purification system to make sure the air you breathe around your house is free from any allergen that may trigger another Canary allergy attack.
Chinchilla in a shed? With an air conditioner. No Upholstery. Size of average 3/4 bathroom. What about winter.
I’m saving up money for something (bear with me I’m 14,no job) I want to save up for a chinchilla a cage an air conditioner, dust baths, food, bedding, etc. I know about the heat thing and I don’t know if they get to cold. I live in Pennsylvania. They live in the Andes Mountains of Chili in natural habitat. If you could give me a good breeder that would be nice. I have had other rodents and think I’m prepared for this bouncy critter.
Well when i grow up if i dont want one anymore, or if i go to collage and cant take it along ill put it up for addoption and not the SPCA. Yea thats right im a humanitarian.
BUT, THANKS FOR YOUR CONCERN.
ive put alot of thought and time in to this and i already take care of alot of other animals so im not gonna pass it of on to someone else to take care of.
have a nice day. =)
I would suggest going to a petstore. i have no clue on the price of the chinchillas themselves. heres what you’ll need for them though. this is the petsmart pricing.
cage:
your total if you get this list will be around $115. that is without the chinchilla. plus you will have to buy the food & bedding on a monthly basis. some of the stuff on the list is only available online though. i would suggest keeping them in a heated house in the winter if you can find room.
Recent months have brought nothing but bad news for the former world leader in the U.S. auto industry. Henry Ford must be turning in his grave. Alfred Sloan, the architect of the multi-divisional Juggernaut General Motors, is a very sad "Car Guy" in the sky these days. Plant closings, mass layoffs, loss of market share and financial results indicate that the horrible "big three" (as the Daimler-Chrysler) are in big trouble. It must change and change not pleasant for the extremely complex case, or for employees, suppliers or customers.
This looks like a change that occurred right before my eyes as a child growing up in Kentucky. Several times a week, buying ice horse stops at our little house and deliver a block of ice. The ice man named Herb. My mother always greeted her warmly and exchanged Herb talk, what would you say to that night Reds game or the time we have enjoyed. Herb was a man very hard work and nice. And then a regularly update this ritual in our lives ended abruptly.
My parents bought a refrigerator. The hand delivered blocks ice was essential to keep the ice age cold was no longer necessary. My mother was very worried about the effect of our new device might wonder about Herb. She met in court and told him as gently as possible that its shipments of ice were no longer needed. Then she asked if he wanted some iced tea and sit a minute.
As clearly as I remember anything in my youth, I remember that conversation. Herb knew that the inevitable march of progress and technology, in this case, refrigerator 12 cubic feet, meant he would soon seek other work. It was sad. Even a matter of fact, my mother tried to be encouraging. During the next few months we have seen of herbs in the area less and less. Within six months, the ice was firm into bankruptcy.
Accept change or be crushed
As the barrel of the industry, the bicycle industry and dozens of other industries once flourishing the provision of ice, and now the industry American car was forced to change the business models. If the changes are not embraced, indeed pursued aggressively, sub-assemblies of the industry would be replaced by upstarts and new technologies. "The Big Three still have the opportunity to adapt to new market realities, but need to work hard in pursuit of cost savings, creativity and corporate culture change bureaucracy.
Change is pain of short duration. Managers will be significantly less. Blue-collar workers will not earn $ 65,000 per year plus benefits for unskilled skilled new jobs. Communities experiencing rapid changes in tax revenues, prices of real estate and shopping patterns. The university plans will be altered. The dreams of retirement will be delayed in some cases destroyed. The pressed parts suppliers on prices. And yet, the future all parties can and should always be bright.
As the Luddites in the attempt of the mid-19th century to end the revolution industrial and preserve the old models of global workforce, there are groups trying to prevent progress. Progress requires change. Fortunately, looking in the mirror is not an American trait widely admired. The parties most affected by this wave of changes in the U.S. auto industry, have multiple opportunities to retrain, re-strategize, and start new businesses and services. U.S. with the normal training efforts and creativity of our society is blessed with a new generation of creation wealth, href = "http://www.duquesamarketing.com/"> business and growth. Always has been.
We live in world market. Nothing will change that. While foreign manufacturers make better products at better prices than we have to face and overcome these market realities. Americans always have in the past, and there is no reason not to offer a bright, but different future, for all currents involved participating in a radical restructuring of our activities formerly Great car.
The U.S. economy is more dynamic in history. Countless opportunities and is available to any citizen wishing to compete in the marketplace of ideas, hard work and not look back. Ford, Chrysler and GM can survive and prosper. However, understanding and readiness for change in determining the success of the losers, or modern Luddites.

Air Conditioning – Maintenance & Cost Saving Tips & Advice
So either you have bought a new ducted air conditioner or you are about to buy one. Do you know how to run your air conditioner to it’s full potential? Do you understand the maintenance required to keep your air conditioner running smoothly for many years. The following article discusses some hints and tips on how to get the best out of your ducted reverse cycle air conditioner.
The main maintenance you need to perform for a reverse cycle (refrigerative) ducted air conditioning system is to clean the filter located in the return air grille. The return air grille is the big grille that sucks the air back into your system and can usually be found in a hallway or wall.
To clean the return air grille filter, you need to first open the grille. Once open you can either slide the filter out or clean it whilst still in place. You can clean the filter by either vacuuming or with warm soapy water. Try cleaning the filter at least every 3 months. If the grille also becomes noisy or the system starts to work less effectively than normal, it is also a good sign that the filter needs a clean. Continued maintenance will ensure you get many years out of your system.
To save on running costs, set your air conditioner to average settings. Some people put the temperatures to extremes thinking it will cool/heat a room quicker. All this does is prevent the unit from cycling off which will ultimately cause your running costs to go through the roof.
When running your air conditioner you should also try to run as little zones as possible. If you run to many zones, it will be costly to run your air conditioner. Also running fewer zones places less stress on the air conditioning unit which will ultimately increase it’s lifespan.
Finally, keep the outdoor unit clean and free from obstructions. Try to keep the area clean and free from any household items to aid in airflow. Wash down the outdoor unit every few months to slow down rust build up. If you adhere to these hints and tips you are sure to get many years of peace and comfort from your reverse cycle air conditioning system.
